What makes the Super Visa different from a regular visitor visa?

Most parents' visitor visa applications to Canada are approved for shorter stays and need renewal. The Super Visa is a distinct, long-validity category built specifically for family reunification.

Our Super Visa application process.

From the first eligibility check to visa stamping, here's exactly how we take a Super Visa application forward.

01

Eligibility & income assessment

We verify the sponsor's LICO eligibility and confirm the parent/grandparent relationship documents required.

02

Medical insurance arrangement

We help select a Canadian insurance provider that meets the minimum CAD 100,000 coverage and 1-year validity requirement.

03

Medical exam scheduling

We coordinate the panel physician medical exam required for all Super Visa applicants.

04

Document compilation & SOP

Invitation letter, financial documents, and supporting statements are compiled and reviewed for consistency before filing.

05

Application submission & tracking

We file the complete application and track it through to a decision, keeping you updated at every stage.

Documents typically required.

Exact document lists vary by individual case — we confirm the current requirement list with you during your consultation.

  • Medical exam confirmation

Super Visa questions we hear most.

Can a Super Visa holder work in Canada?

No. The Super Visa is a visitor category — it does not authorise employment in Canada.

Can grandparents apply, or only parents?

Both. The Super Visa is open to parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

Is the medical insurance really mandatory?

Yes. Applicants must show proof of Canadian medical insurance valid for at least one year, with a minimum of CAD 100,000 in coverage, before the visa is issued.

What happens if the sponsor doesn't meet the income requirement?

The Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) is assessed strictly. We review your sponsor's income position before filing so there are no surprises mid-process.

Can I apply for a regular visitor visa instead if the Super Visa doesn't work out?

Yes — we also handle standard Canada visitor visa applications from India as an alternative or fallback option.
